Synergy Bank is excited to offer you new and improved banking technology. Below are some quick references to help you through some of our new technology within our Online and Mobile Banking Services.

Logging in to the new online banking for the first time

If this is the first time you are logging into online banking since Innovation 2020 (January 23-27, 2020), please follow the instructions below:

  • Your USERNAME for online banking and the mobile app will remain the same
  • Your PASSWORD will be a temporary password that consists of your current USERNAME + Last 4 of your social security number. 
  • If you are a business you will enter the USERNAME + the last four digits of your Tax Identification number.

EXAMPLE:

If your USERNAME is JOHNDOE and the last for digits of your social security is 1234, then your temporary password would be JOHNDOE1234

  • After completing this step. You will be prompted to change your password and establish your security answers for your account.

Accessing the Mobile App

Synergy will have has a completely new mobile app that will have the same look and feel as our online banking. Business customers will use the same mobile app. You will need to delete the current Synergy Bank app and go to Google Play or Apple App Store and search for Synergy Bank. The new mobile app will looks like this:

Please note: Once you have changed your password for the first time, whether that is through online banking or the mobile app, you will not be required to change it again.  The new password will work for both online and mobile app.

If this is the first time you are logging into your account since Innovation, you will need to follow the first-time log in procedures below:

Bill Pay

To access Bill Pay, you will need to select ‘Move Money’ in the navigation on the left. All your Bill Pay payees and scheduled payments have been transferred in the new online banking system.

Small Business Bill Pay customers only

Once you are in online banking, in order to access your small business bill pay you will have to log in again. The instructions for logging in for the first time were mailed to you on January 14, 2020. If you need assistance, please contact call center at 985-851-2217.

Turning your Debit Card On/Off

Protect your debit card when it’s not in use by turning it off and on. Select ‘Manage Cards’ in the navigation on the left. Select the card you wish to turn on or off. Turning your card off only affects future debit card transactions (ATM and point of sale). Any previously authorized transaction will post to the account and it will not affect your checks, auto transfers, bill payments or other type of transactions in your account.

If your card is lost or stolen, turn off the card and call 985-851-2217.

How to send Person-to-Person (P2P) Payments

Synergy’s new person to person payments are easy, convenient and FREE.

Accessing Electronic Statements (eStatements)

eStatements are convenient and allow for access to copies of your statements from 2018 until today.

YourStatements are found on the ‘Documents’ tab.

You will be prompted to accept the terms of the Federal E-sign Act disclosure and consent when you first log in. 

Setting up account alerts and text Alerts

If you established account alerts in the previous system, you will need to set them up in the new system. Setting up account alerts are a great way to manage your account and protect against fraud.

Using the new Personal Financial Management System

A great new feature of Synergy Online Banking is the Personal Financial Management System. This can be found at the bottom right of online banking.

You can manage your financial data with tools to help track expenses and goal progress all through online banking.

You can add your credit cards and other financial institutions to help you track your progress toward your goals that you’ve set.
